Local 83 Health and Welfare Meeting

Local 83 will be having a Health and Welfare Meeting to review and evaluate our current Health and Welfare plan.

The Health and Welfare Meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at 6 p.m. at 1000 Sackville Drive in Sackville, NS. The regular monthly meeting will directly follow.

At this meeting, we will have a representative on hand to discuss the changes to the Health and Welfare costs, and answer any questions or concerns you may have.

I encourage everyone to attend this very important meeting.

Olde Tyme Union Picnic – New Glasgow

Our first Olde Tyme Union Picnic of the summer is coming up soon!

We hope you can join us on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Glasgow Square in New Glasgow, NS for a barbecue, prizes, skills demonstrations and kids’ activities. There will be something for everyone!

ACRC Staff Changes – Mainland Nova Scotia

The ACRC has restructured its Halifax office to provide better value for Mainland Nova Scotia members. Business Representatives Vern Rowe and Bruce Chaulk are no longer with the Council.

Notice of Meeting Change – Local 1178

Please note the Regular Monthly Meeting for Local 1178 for June will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 starting at 10 a.m.

The Executive of Local 1178 would also like to invite you to the Lobster Boil that will take place after this monthly meeting. Please RSVP to the union office (902) 752-3176 no later than Monday, June 12, 2017 if you will be attending.

The above meeting will be the last one for the summer, as the monthly meetings for July and August will be cancelled. Meetings will begin again the fourth (4th) Saturday in September.
