Victoria Day Weekend

Brothers and Sisters,

On behalf of the Atlantic Canada Regional Council Executive and Delegates, I want to wish you and your families a Happy Victoria Day weekend.

Thankfully, the weather forecast for Atlantic Canada is predicting warmer temperatures for us all this weekend.  I hope you get the opportunity to spend time outdoors with family and friends. For those of you travelling on the highway for work or camping, be extra careful with the increased traffic.

Have an enjoyable and safe long weekend!

NL $60,000.00 donation to the Janeway Wish!

On October 4, 2020,  President Mike Williams and Recording Secretary Neil Mulrooney presented a $60,000.00 donation to the Janeway Wish Foundation to purchase a new transport incubator on behalf of the Executive and Members.

The Janeway Wish Foundation is a registered Canadian charitable organization created to raise funds to benefit the health care of Newfoundland and Labrador’s most precious resource – our children. The donations received enables the Foundation to assist our province’s only pediatric hospital, The Janeway Children’s Health & Rehabilitation Centre, and to invest in the health care of our children – from the unborn infant to children up to 18 years of age. Through the Foundation, all donations contribute to the purchase of the latest in modern medical equipment, the continued education of Janeway Hospital staff, and the research and programs directly related to our children’s health and welfare.
