International Women’s Day!

Sunday March 8th marks International Women’s Day! There are numerous events happening around Atlantic Canada over the next week that our members can attend! Office to Advance Women Apprentices in each area have partnered with different organizations to host events celebrating women while also helping women in their areas.

DECEMBER MONTHLY MEETING NOTICE

Local 1338

Please be advised that Local 1338 will be holding Decembers monthly meeting at the Charlottetown Inn & Conference Center (formally “The Best Western”) located on 238 Grafton Street, on Tuesday December 17, 2019 at 7:30.

Please note at this meeting there will be gift cards from Sobey’s given to all membership who attend.

Please note all members must be in good standing to attend the meeting. Dues can be paid at the meeting.

If you wish to donate a non-perishable food item it will be collected at the door and donated to the Food Bank (cash donations will also be accepted)

Carpenters Union Local 1338

Lincoln Ross Memorial Bursary

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Local 1338,

The Lincoln Ross Memorial Bursary is available to all members of Local 1338 and their immediate Families (Spouse/Child) who are attending or will be attending a post-secondary education institution.

The bursary is valued up to $500 depending on the number of applicants. Deadline for applications is November 15, 2020.

Guidelines for Lincoln Ross Memorial Bursary

NOTICE OF SPECIAL CALLED MEETING

United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 1338 has reached a memorandum of Agreement with the Association of Commercial/Industrial Contractors of Prince Edward Island, to amend the Prince Edward Island Carpenters Collective Agreement.

The Purpose of this notice is to advise members that we will be holding a meeting to review changes to the collective agreement and vote on renewal of the agreement for 2019 to 2022 immediately following the review.

Meeting Venue: Stanhope Room, Charlottetown Conference Centre, Best Western, 238 Grafton Street.

Meeting Date: Wednesday, June 5th, 2019

Meeting Time: 7:30 PM meeting start, 7-7:15 arrival time please

Your attendance is strongly encouraged. Please make every effort to attend this important meeting, your input as a union member is essential to this decision.
